Founded in August 1998, House of Joy Childcare Center, LLC began as an in-home childcare program and has grown into a full-service center located at 546 South Cherry Road. We serve children from six weeks to four years old in four general classrooms, with an additional classroom for our afterschool program for children ages five to six.
At House of Joy Childcare Center, our child-centered learning approach focuses on each child’s individual needs, interests, and developmental stage. We create a nurturing environment where children learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, and play. Our teachers guide and support learning at each child’s pace, helping them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
At House of Joy Childcare Center, we believe strong, nurturing relationships are the foundation of a child’s growth and development. Our caring teachers build trusting connections with each child and family, creating a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued, respected, and confident to learn and explore.
Hello my name is Joy Dickerson I was born on April 8, 1967 I have 3 children, 2 girls, 1 boy 1 grandduaghter named Tiziah. My husband is John Dickerson. We’ve been married for 30 years. I have been a Childcare owner for 18 years. House Of Joy Childcare Center, “Where learning is a Joy” I truly count it a privilege and honor to have the opportunity to shape the lives of young children. I don’t feel like it’s my job, I feel that childcare care is my assignment, this is my Godly purpose. I am truly grateful for my calling. I feel that childcare for my ministry and it does take a village to raise a child. I love childcare.
